WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE

We kindly ask for all RSVPs to be submitted by June 1st so we can give the restaurant a final headcount. Any RSVPs not received by June 1st will be assumed to be regretfully declined.

SHOULD GUESTS START ARRIVING AT 4PM OR BE THERE BY 4PM

We ask guests to please be at the venue by 4:00PM so everyone is in place before the ceremony begins. Guests who arrive after 4:00PM will be asked to wait in the reception area during the ceremony as to not interupt the procession.

IS IT OKAY FOR GUESTS TO TAKE PHOTOS WITH THEIR PHONES OR CAMERAS DURING THE WEDDING

We ask all guests to keep their phones and cameras away until after the ceremony, including the Bride & Groom’s walk back down the aisle as newlyweds. Our lovely photographer, Kourtney, will be uploading professional, non-iPhone photos to this page after the wedding which you're welcome to use to post, print or make into tshirts!

After the ceremony, we’d love for you to take photos during the reception and after-party, and share them on our Photos page so we can look back on the people we love enjoying our special day!

ARE KIDS WELCOME

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only ceremony and reception. We reserve the right to ID any guests who appear to be three children stacked in a trench coat.

THE INVITE SAYS GATINEAU, QUEBEC, NOT OTTAWA, ONTARIO; IS THIS AN OUT-OF-TOWN WEDDING

Gatineau is the part of Ottawa which sits on the Quebec side of the provincial border. Saint Eloi Café is a roughly 20-minute drive from downtown Ottawa (depending on bridge traffic) and accessible by Uber.

See our Accommodations page for a map including the venue location, our hotel suggestions, and a few Ottawa landmarks!

I'M TRAVELING TO OTTAWA FOR THE WEDDING, WHERE SHOULD I STAY

Please see our Accommodations page for hotels in downtown Ottawa we recommend, and for a discount booking link for the Alt Hotel.

ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION AT THE SAME PLACE, AND WILL IT BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS

Yes - both the ceremony and reception will be at the beautiful Saint Eloi Café overlooking Lac Leamy (Leamy Lake). The ceremony will be fully outdoors on the lawn by the water and dinner will be indoors in the restaurant, with the party both inside the restaurant and outdoors on the patios.

For the folks still standing, our after-party will be down the street from the restaurant at Casino Lac Leamy.

IT LOOKS LIKE I'M TURNING INTO A RONA PARKING LOT, AM I IN THE RIGHT PLACE

Yes! Saint Eloi Café is in Lac Leamy Park which is east of the Rona through the trees. Trust the GPS process and you’ll find us!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR

We invite guests to get dressed up with us in cocktail attire. Cocktail-length or long dresses, dressy sets, and suits and ties are all welcome, but, above all, we hope you’ll wear whatever makes you feel your best and ready to celebrate with us!

We ask that guests leave white for the bride, and avoid wearing dresses or suit jackets which are predominantly white or shades of white.

Please note, parts of the festivities will be held on grass and on deck-floor terraces, so thin-heeled stilettos are not recommended.

DO I NEED TO CHANGE OUTFITS FOR THE CASINO AFTER-PARTY

We’re going for Vegas glam, so there’s no need to change for the casino. Feel free to swap into more comfortable shoes or add a bit of Vegas flair, but note we do not have a dedicated space at the restaurant to store costume changes during the reception or overnight, so only bring what you’re happy to have at your seat and with you at the casino.

WILL THE BRIDE & GROOM BE OFFENDED IF I GO TO BED INSTEAD OF THE AFTER-PARTY

As excited as we are to get lucky at our Vegas themed after-party, we know that a full day of celebrating deserves a good night’s sleep. Please feel free to join us after the reception at Casino Lac Leamy or call it a night!

CAN I STILL COME TO THE CASINO IF I DON'T PLAN ON GAMBLING

Absolutely!

HOW WILL GUESTS GET FROM SAINT ELOI CAFÉ TO CASINO LAC LEAMY

Casino Lac Leamy is down the street from Saint Eloi Café, and there will be one shuttle bus from the restaurant to the casino after the reception for those looking to keep the party, and the dice, rolling. Please make sure to arrange your own ride home from the casino.
